Q Collaborations Inc. was founded in January of 1998 by Mel Nott, formerly Manitoba Emergency Measures Organizationís Chief Inspector for the Disaster Financial Assistance Program.
Mel recognized a need to provide quality DFA Claims and Recovery Management services to Municipal Governments, whose resources were already tasked to their limits.
Mel also identified a provision in the Disaster Financial Assistance Program that acknowledged this need and allowed for Municipal Governments incurring such expenses to include them as eligible expenses in their DFA Claims.
Since that time, Q has had a part in the recovery of over $250 million in eligible disaster related expenses incurred by individuals, businesses and Local Governments in Manitoba.
Working, for the most part, with and through individual Municipal Governments and in cooperation with those who administer the Provincial / Federal Governmentís Disaster Financial Assistance Program, Q has gained a reputation for efficiency, effectiveness and expertise in the field.
